1Läksin uimahan merelle,
2Heitin paiain pajulle,
3Hameheni haavan päälle,
4Kenkäni kesäkivelle,
5Sukkani sulalle maalle,
6Helmet hiekkarantaselle.
7Läksin uimahan kivelle,
8Paasilla pakenemahan,
9Kivi kirposi vetehen,
10Paasi pohjahan pakeni.
11Tul tuo hauki haikotellen,
12Meren koira koikotellen,
13Vei tuo paiain pajulta,

15Miepä itkien kotihin.
16Emon luokse ennätäin.
17Emo ensisti kysyvi:
18"Mitäs itket, piikaseni,
19Nuorempaiseni, nurajat?"
20Piika vasten vastaeli:
21"Mänin mie uimahan merelle."

23"Elä itke, piikaseni,
24Nuorempaiseni nuraja!
25Eglen meillä lehmä poiki,
26Teki valkian vasikan,
27Sukkajalan suikahutti,
28Tuo vieähän Viipurihin,
