Maahinen (maasta karannut) paranee, kun ottaa maata leikkaamalla kolme pientä, pyöreää palasta ja niihin puhellen lukee kuhunkin yhden kerran:
1Maan tytti, manulan neiti,
2Pihan tytti, pellon rikka,
3Kaiken kartanon rikka!
4Tee alta terveheksi,
5Keskeä kivuttomaksi,
6Päältä nuurumattomaksi!
Sitten niillä maapalasilla painellaan kipeätä kohtaa, ja sitten ne palaset painetaan sijoilleen vasemmalla kantapäällä ja lähdetään pois taakseen katsomatta.
