Kyllä niitä taikkauksia ennen oli ja uskottiin kaikellaisia. Oli sekin yks taikkaus, kun keväällä karjaa ulos laskettiin, niin isäntä seiso naveton kynnyksellä lukku käðesä, semmonen putkilukku kun niitä vanhaan aikaan pruukattiin, ja stekku viimenen elukka astu uls navetosta, ni hän pisti sel_lukun kii ja sano että:
