The archive’s description
Written by the editors of the SKVR type index and quoted as it stands, in Finnish.
Kotona olevan tytön arvo ja/tai vieraissa olevan arvottomuus. Johdantoja: Olin ennen kuin olinkin; Olin likka ollessani; Olin nokka nuorempana. Ydinaihe: 1) Arvosäkeet: Olin yksi äitilläni, olin yksi, maksoin kaksi, maksoin kaksi kassarissa, kolme kuokan kuoliossa, viisi maksoin viikattessa; Maksoin markan maatessani, kaksi kylässä käyessäni, kolme koissa ollessani (tengat tietä käyessäni, hopeat huokatessani). 2) Arvottomuus-säkeet: En nyt mitään maksa; Nyt en maksa maasta rohta, olenkortta uulitsalta, tattii talon väliltä, kujalta kusivesiä; Maksa en maallista matoa, riihen eellistä rikaista; Maksa en sitä veoista minkä juon janohuuvain, maksa en niitä jauholoi, minkä syön leivässäin yms. Kumpikin sarja voi esiintyä yksinkin. Joskus kerskaus arvosta ilman viitettä tyttöaikaan.
Esiintyy itsenäisenä, Olin orja vellolleni -runon johdantona tai, yleisimmin, Ison kotona ja toiselassa -runon keskeisenä aiheena. Tähän pyritty kokoamaan kaikki lyyriset esiintymät.
