The archive’s description
Written by the editors of the SKVR type index and quoted as it stands, in Finnish.
Ydinaihe: En ole opissa ollut, seissyt seppien pajassa, syönyt raudan suurimoita, lakkinut teräksen lientä ... Joskus päivastainen väite: olen ollut opissa, tai esitetään toive: oppia minä olisin, seisoa sepän pajassa(*). Usein vastaus ihmisten väitteeseen: tuo tyttö on ollut opissa.
§§§Usein jatketaan selittämällä, mistä laulut opittu: orjuudessa (III; pitkiäkin selostuksia); kotona - en joutanut oppiin(IV-V ym.). Toistuvia jatkoaiheita: Omat on virret oppimani (erit. V, XIII), >Käeltä poiminut laulut (III), Runoreki (IV, V, XIII).
