The archive’s description
Written by the editors of the SKVR type index and quoted as it stands, in Finnish.
Vienassa ja Inkerissä Hanhi kadonnut -runon yhteydessä Nuorena sotaan viety veli -runon säkeitä (neito itkee sotaan vietyä veljeään, veli tulee, pää näkyy, tuo hanhen). Vienalaismuistiinpanoissa häivähtävät Katriinan poltto -legendan säkeet: K. kutoo, hanhi hänen apulaisenaan. Hanhen etsintä -jakso muistuttaa Lapsenetsintävirttä: neito kyselee vastaantulijoilta, onko hanhea nähty, neidolta kysytään: mikä merkki hanhellasi? Länsi-Inkerissä runon virolaisperäinen loppu: neito tulee taloon, jossa hänelle tarjotaan hanhesta tehty patja, lihaa ja verta. Vrt. Viron Haned kadunut.
