The archive’s description
Written by the editors of the SKVR type index and quoted as it stands, in Finnish.
Laulajan kerskaus, ydinaiheena merimaiseman muuttaminen laulaen ruoka-aineksiksi: meret mesiksi, hiekat herneiksi, somerot suolaksi, kalliot kaloiksi jne. Jatkosäkeinä joskus myös esinemielikuvia: meren tyrskyt tyynyiksi, vaahdot vaipoiksi; meren kaislat kaupungiksi, kangaspuiksi; meren hiekat helmiksi, somerot sormuksiksi, liivat linttilöiksi.
§§§Pohjoisempana (V3, XIII, VI, IX-XI) esiintyy myös sisämaan maisema (vuoret voiksi, kalliot sianlihaksi, mäet mammikattiloiksi) joko meri-aiheeseen sekoittuneena tai yksin. Joskus lauletaan myös rauniot rahoiksi (ks. myös >Kun ois rauniot rahoina).
