The archive’s description

Written by the editors of the SKVR type index and quoted as it stands, in Finnish.

Laajahko "kertomus" koostuu kolmesta aihelmasta:

1) Ei ole sitä sisarta, ei sitä emosen lasta, jollenka sanan sanani, haastan mielihaikiani (Kelles nyt haluni haastan, kelles vien vetiset silmät; Kelle tuultelen tussain. Ks. samoja säkeitä: Silloin itkin ilman syytä; Tuullan tuskaiseni tuuleen Jumalan; Häärunot/Morsiamen itketys >Ei ole sitä, kelle vaivasi valitat);

2) Kun sanoin vierahalle, vieras viielle sanoopi, kyläläinen kymmenelle, kymmen kaikelle kylälle; Jos ma virkan vellolle, vello sannoo vaimolleen; Kuihka sanoo Kaihkolle -sananlasku.

3) Menen metsään (ks. samaa >Menen metsään kesällä) - haastan haavan lehtysille, pakisen pajun vesoille, puhun puille pääni päällä (virkan virsuilleni, kerron kengilleni! VII joskus) - nuo ei kerro kellenkään.

4) Erikoinen muunnelma häärunossa: Otin kirjan kirstustaini, oapiskirjan aitastaini, siinn mie panin pakkojaini - - paremmille paioilleni, esiliinoille enemmän.

Aihelmat 1) ja 2) on poimittu tähän irrallisinakin, 3) vain huolista puhuttaessa. Minämuotoiset häärunoversiot poimittu tähänkin. Rikas variaatio, yhdistyy moniin muihin huolirunoihin, erityisesti itkemiseen: Itken yksin ollessani, >Kylä luuli kylpeneeni, Silloin itkin ilman syytä.
