Written by the editors of the SKVR type index and quoted as it stands, in Finnish.

"Toisin" -sanaa toistava toisela-formula, ydinsäkeet: Toisin ompi/tuolla toiselassa, toisin toisessa talossa; jatkosäkeet vaihtelevat: Muiten muissa vierahissa, ei niinkuin emoses koissa (I3 1648); Toisin on lipsut, toisin luokut, toisin on kiukut, toisin koukut, toisin ukset ulvasevat, soisin saranat sanovat (XIII2 3788); Toisin tuolla torvet soivat, toisin paukkavat pasunat (IV3 3086). Lyhyitä jatkoaiheita sisällytetty, esim.: Nouse ilman nostajitta jne. (vrt. Tulo sulhasen kotiin: Nouse korjasta koria, rehiäinen reen perästä). Liitetään toisaalta neuvokki-, toisaalta itketysvirsiin, kummassakin esiintyy säepari Tapa toinen ottaminen, entinen unohtaminen.
