The archive’s description
Written by the editors of the SKVR type index and quoted as it stands, in Finnish.
Ydinaihe: Väkivahva Kalevanpoika pannaan erilaisiin töihin (nuotan soutaminen, tarpominen, lapsen katsominen), epäonnistuu. Lähetetään paimeneen, kivi leivässä (kivinen kakku -aihelma, ks. paimenlaulut: >Kulu päivä, kulje päivä). Kalevanpoika ajaa pedot kartanolle, muuttaa karjan pedoiksi, tekee luikun Laukon luista. Pedot raatelevat tai tappavat emännän. Pohjoisessa harvinainen motiivi: rukoillaan Ukko ylijumalaa tappamaan Kalevanpoika. Kalevanpoika nostaa tuulen: I1 72. Kalevanpojan surma myös pohjoisessa, harvinainen.
