Support RunoVerse
Runosongs, the old sung poetry of the Finnic peoples, survive in archive texts written down over four centuries. RunoVerse opens them to anyone who wants to read, study or teach them. It is free to use and carries no advertising.
RunoVerse is a personal project. Its author puts a great deal of time into building and maintaining it, and pays for the server and for developing the site further.
If RunoVerse has helped you in research, teaching or simply reading the songs, a tip helps keep it free and lets the author keep adding new features and material.
You can also help without spending anything:
- Cite it in publications, theses and teaching materials (see How to Cite on the About page).
- Tell the author what you use it for: a course, a thesis, a project or a research question. Such accounts help when applying for funding.
- Report errors you notice, such as a wrong word, place, year or translation, together with the address of the page where you saw it.
- Link to RunoVerse from a course page, a library guide or an institution’s website, and tell colleagues and students about it.
- If you represent an archive, an institution or a research project that would like to work with the author on RunoVerse or fund its development, please get in touch.
