What this shows

Each wordform in the corpus has been annotated with grammatical and stylistic categories from morphological analysis. This page lets you browse all 65 categories and explore which wordforms belong to each.

Category types

• Poetic/Stylistic (green): archaic, poetic, refrain, diminutive, onomatopoeic, reduplicated, reduplicative, southern — stylistic markers especially relevant for runosong research.
• Grammatical cases (blue): abessive, ablative, adessive, allative, comitative, elative, essive, genitive, illative, inessive, nominative, partitive, terminative, translative.
• Verb forms (orange): active, causative, conditional, frequentative, gerund, imperative, infinitive, participle, passive, past, present, etc.
• Word classes (purple): adjective, adverb, compound, conjunction, dialect, noun, numeral, pronoun, verb, etc.

How to use

• Click a category card to see all its wordforms below.
• Use the search box to filter wordforms within the selected category.
• Click any wordform to look it up in the main dictionary.
• Use the grid filter to find specific categories by name.
