What this shows

Every word in the corpus has been translated to English using DeepSeek AI analysis of 165K poems. This page inverts that mapping: given an English translation (e.g., "mother", "gold", "sing"), it shows the Finnic headwords and spellings that carry that meaning, with corpus frequencies and language distribution. Headword rather than lemma: the spellings were clustered automatically, and a good many of the resulting headwords are not dictionary words.

Each headword's own meaning, resolved the same way the concordance resolves it. A tick means the translated verse lines corroborate it: ✓✓ the same word, a form of it. Grey italics — (refrain), [particle], [unclear] — are not meanings but notes the annotation left in place of one.
