Ampiaisen alkuperään ja syntyy viittaavia aihelmia on runsaasti, ja niistä kertovia elementtejä sisältävät on koottu Ampiaisen syntyyn. Ampiaisen puhuttelun jälkeen ampiaista kehotetaan kääntymään pois ihmisestä, pistämään muuta kuin ihmistä (itseään, maata) jne.
